Poor Cal. One day didn't even want to move. He'd just lay with his blankie in the middle of the carpet because he wanted to be by Annie and I. Sweet thing.

After we all had our turn getting sick we did get to enjoy some Valentine's fun. Annie had her preschool Valentine's party which meant Cal got to enjoy it too. Annie could hardly wait to pass out her valentines.
And was just as excited to collect her winnings. As for me I've just been falling in love with my sweet little family more and more. Annie is loving mommy-ing babies these days. Here she's lying on our bed helping her baby "Piglet" get better after she "threw up". She's going to be the best big sister...again. She can hardly wait for baby brother the come. Today she helped me pack my hospital bag and was insightful enough to include the framed picture of Grandma Wilson that I keep on my nightstand. She herself can't wait to have her own "kiddos". In the meantime she's so imaginative, loves to pretend, and loves to ask a lot of questions and participate in conversations. We started putting the boys room together which means Calvin is moving out and Annie gets her own room! She loves it. I'm so happy for her. How I love you sweet girl!
And then there's Cal. There is something so darling about my little boy waking up with messy hair that just melts my heart. I love it SO much! I can't wait to have another! He's such a sweetheart: so willing to help in anyway, cleans up any and every mess and always asks where his daddy is. As soon as I answer "Daddy? He's at school!" He smiles and says "Oh!" just to ask the same question two minutes later. He loves to show off his new discoveries and sings at the piano freely. He too is getting ready for baby number three. He loves cuddling with babies with kisses and hugs galore. Hopefully our new little one will be smothered with just the right amount of love...otherwise he might be killed by his older brother. Right now however, he and Annie are the greatest of friends and it's such a blessing and so sweet to watch. How strange to think my Cal won't be my baby anymore. Somewhat a hard reality.
And good old dad. Well he's not THAT old, but he sure is a phenomenal dad. Who else would paint his wife's toenails when she's 36 weeks along? We put up the baby swing the other night with two little helpers while mommy video recorded; now a tradition we do just before baby comes. Cal was involved this time which means it wasn't as smooth this time around, but boy did he enjoy himself. Will, I can't thank you enough for being such a patient hero while I wait and wait....and wait some more. And I'm sure I'm not as silent about my waiting as I could be. I love you beyond measure!

As for me? Big? Definite yes. Ready? Another yes. He's dropped, head down and measuring big. Go figure! I'm willing to have my baby any day and can't wait to see his sweet little face. On top of that I can't wait to see my husband's face as he gets to know another son. I'm also anticipating watching litte Cal and Annie welcome little brother into the world. What a treasure he will be. I'm imagining Grandma Wilson's giving him a few pointers right now on how to deal with his earthy mother. At times I'm jealous, but I know in my heart this will be a very special delivery because of her. Anytime you want to send him off Grandma, we're ready for him. And we'll love him to pieces.
While I wait, maybe I'll take Cal's example and get some good rest. Can't wait to let you all know when he arrives!
